The location works well for dinner, coffee, or heading to the beach, and the room itself was lovely. Housekeeping did a great job, though the cleaning team talked loudly in the corridors and the doors were noisy. The price felt fair for what we got. Compared with the photos from three years ago, some things seemed a little different: the entrance felt empty, there was no receptionist around for check-in or checkout, and nowhere to relax. Breakfast also seemed more limited, with no vegetables and no especially good coffee like the pictures suggested.

A lovely girl handled breakfast and cleaning every day, and a young, passionate chef showed up for the weekend. The area is a beautiful, very relaxing little village, and the surf house itself is nice, but it feels short on character and shared spaces. It comes across more like a place to stop overnight than a surf spot. I understand staffing is limited in the low season, but with no heater in the rooms, October in Cantabria can get really cold and damp. Maybe it would be better to close then.

Breakfast has pretty much everything you could want, and the staff are kind and ready to help. There’s parking, plus free lockers for surfboards and wetsuits. The rooms are great, with a TV and plenty of outlets, and the atmosphere is restful. Just keep in mind that in September an individual room costs €50 a night with breakfast, which is hotel pricing.

The staff were especially friendly, and this place has a great feel to it. There’s a restaurant with amazing sushi, lockers for your own surfboards, and parking is easy. It’s also close to the beach. The rooms, beds, shower, and breakfast were all great. I’d definitely come back to this gem.

The room was clean and fine, but breakfast was really poor. The soy milk had gone bad, which I only realized after my first spoonful of muesli. There was no cake, croissant, or scrambled eggs, the coffee was bad, and the fruit selection was very limited.
