The kitchen was barely equipped for our six-person stay: one burner, no extractor fan, a tiny fridge, and no tools for the fireplace when we asked for firewood. The bathroom and jacuzzi floors were damaged by damp and clearly hadn't been repaired in years. We spent three nights over New Year's at Apartamento Hada del Rocio, with temperatures outside at -10ºC, and the jacuzzi room was unbearably cold. Its old wooden frames, apparently over 70 years old, and cracks in the glass wall let cold air in. The owner said the underfloor heating was working, though we had no control over it, and didn't address the gaps or offer to seal them. Instead, the only solution was that we sleep in the living room at no extra charge. We felt ripped off paying for a two-bedroom apartment in freezing winter when one room felt like sleeping on the street. The place is far from luxury, and the owner came across as authoritarian, more concerned with money than service and unwilling to acknowledge our concerns. There are other Google posts making similar complaints about the cold, so this seems to have been an ongoing issue. I've attached photos as proof. Don't book this apartment. If you choose another one, I can't say what it's like.

The cleaning ladies were friendly and attentive, and the place itself looks really nice. But for 14 people across two apartments, it felt cramped, despite Fernando turning down our Booking.com reservation so he could make a personalized one that he said would be better. It wasn't. He insisted on that arrangement, then showed up with a card reader to charge €25 for our chihuahua. I'd told him about the dog when we booked in early February, but at the time he seemed focused on getting the payment and leaving any problems for later. I hope that money goes toward cleaning the kitchenware, supplying enough toilet paper, sorting out the toilet and pipe smells, and improving the Wi-Fi. The accommodation is marketed beautifully, but it leaves a lot to be desired as a luxury stay. The photos look fine, just please don't use the opening-day ones 😉.

They show you all the routes, and the people were friendly and professional. The apartment felt like something from a fairytale, with every detail considered and the decor done in exquisite taste. Wonderful place.
