Almocabar Luxury Apartment

A nice house in a great spot.

The apartment is thoughtfully and beautifully styled, and it has everything you need. Its location is the real highlight: in the old town, just beyond the 13th-century walls, about five minutes on foot from Puente Nuevo and ten minutes from the viewpoints below the bridge. The narrow stone lanes and very old apartment buildings give the area a magical feel. There are monuments at every turn, including the walls of Espiritu Santo Church right outside the window. Free parking is available 350 meters away on Calle Prado Nuevo. There are tradeoffs to staying in an old converted building. The apartment is arranged vertically over three levels, with fairly steep stairs between them. It also gets cold inside when the temperature drops to 10°C at night. Radiators warm the rooms quickly, but the stone kitchen and bathroom tiles stay cold. Sound insulation is poor, though the street is very quiet, so it didn’t bother us at all.

The stairs could be risky for children, so I’d say this place is better suited to couples. That aside, we loved it and would recommend it, and we’d return. The house is lovely, very clean and comfortable, with every detail taken care of. The location is hard to beat, and you can walk everywhere.
