Matilde was lovely, and even drove us to our car when we left. We had a spotless, comfortable stay, with air conditioning in both bedrooms we used. Some of the other bedrooms were locked, depending on how many guests there were. The apartment had everything we needed for a great family weekend and is well placed, about five minutes on foot from the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge), along Calle La Bola (also known as Calle Espinel), lined with shops and restaurants. We had a delicious pizza at Restaurante Da Vinci just across the road. We'll be back.

After keeping a May reservation for specific dates for three months, and having the owner confirm it through Airbnb, they canceled without warning. The only explanation was a duplicate booking they'd "realized after 3 months." I was left with no chance to find somewhere else for that weekend. Business is business, I suppose, and maybe it's better to go back to subletting at exorbitant prices.

The owner was so attentive, sharing ideas for things to see and places to eat, and adding lots of thoughtful touches. It's a beautiful apartment with everything we needed. Thanks so much, Mati, for a wonderful stay.
