Hotel Cortijo Las Piletas

The hosts were the best part of an amazing stay, though everything worked out perfectly from start to finish. Check-in, rooms, facilities, the wonderful honesty bars, the pool, and the views were all great. None of the reviews here are exaggerating. DO NOT HESITATE!!!

After visiting so many cities on our holiday, this gorgeous country setting was just what we needed. The host kindly explained the property and suggested nearby sights and restaurants when we arrived, and we really appreciated the tips. The Andalusian-style rooms were spacious, clean, warm, and full of character; the whole property was wonderfully maintained. It was too cold for us to swim, but lounging by the pool and hearing cattle bells in the distance was lovely. Definitely take the host's suggestions for local walks or hikes. The views down the road were stunning. I hadn't expected such beautiful mountains in southern Spain, and the area ended up a highlight of our trip. Easily one of our favourite B&Bs in Spain.

The hosts live on-site and are always nearby if you need anything. They gave great advice and helped plan our route. I wish I'd known what a good base this was, because I would have booked the whole week and explored Andalusia without a worry. The pool is amazing, open 24/7, with mountain views. Breakfast uses local products, and if you're hungry in the evening, there's a well-stocked fridge of food at very reasonable prices that you can heat up and enjoy for dinner. There are also several gardens with roses and other fragrant plants. It has everything you need for a longer stay, and the views are even more beautiful than in the photos. I left with a wonderful feeling. Truly memorable.

We liked being able to help ourselves from the many 'Honesty' bars and food counters, then just write down what we'd taken. There was food, ice cream, and drinks, including alcohol, whenever we wanted. It's nice to stay somewhere that trusts its guests. The pool looked great, but it was too cold for us to use it. Instead, I loved sitting on a comfy sofa by the blazing log fire in the cosy, spacious sitting room. We spent our last evening eating things from the fridge, microwaved for supper, since we couldn't be bothered to drive 15 mins to Ronda. We sat in the dining room, had a tasty enough meal and wine, and played cards. Neither of us had to drive, so we could both enjoy the wine. The location is handy for driving to Ronda or other villages, and the large gardens have lots of areas with seats and tables. I bet it's fantastic in summer. Would definitely go again.
