The view was very nice, but we left feeling the €34 bill was €35 too much. The place had just opened for lunch, yet three of the six dishes we ordered weren’t available, and there was no white wine. Everything was wet because they’d watered not just the plants but the whole place. My pants got soaked, and the salt was a mess. We specifically asked for fries but got cold potatoes. The chicken wasn’t tasty at all, though the omelette was okay. Avoid.

The garden is a lovely little oasis tucked away from the street, and I’d go for a drink and enjoy it. The food was more disappointing: the tapas included pickles on a toothpick, and while the tostas were good, they put sandwich cheese on all of them. I didn’t try the meat. TripAdvisor calls it cheap, but I wouldn’t say that.

The view is lovely, but that was the only reason I’d stop here. Café parasol was torn, stained, and broken, the outdoor cushions were sticky and dirty, and the waiter stayed on the phone without clearing tables. The coffees were really disappointing. My decaf came as a packet beside a cup of milk. I was appalled by how the animals were kept. Around seven birds were in filthy cages and looked as if they’d never been allowed to fly. Several had trembling beaks and wings, though they sang beautifully. A rabbit was squeezed into a cage barely bigger than itself, with a cardboard shelter, standing in its own faeces and twigs. Two dogs were in a chicken-wire cage. There were also several scrawny chickens, followed by lots of chicks in crude cages pecking at disintegrated plastic, though some chickens walked around the garden. In a small cage, two grown cats cowered in a corner while three kittens ate from dirty bowls and looked disoriented.

It’s a nice spot, but the food is just horrible Spanish convenience food. They also keep about a dozen birds in cages that are way too small to entertain tourists. Such a shame, because it could be a really cute place.

Really peaceful spot, with incredible views. I had a good breakfast of eggs on toast and coffee. Take a look around the gardens, and maybe you’ll get to feed the chickens.
