Room 454 worked really well for our family. The submarine bunk beds were across from two comfortable queen beds pushed together, making a bed big enough for everyone. There were two bathrooms with all the amenities and a walk-in closet. The hotel is well placed, with shops and restaurants nearby and the ocean only five minutes away. The pool could feel too small when the hotel is full.

The place was spotless, and a few members of staff spoke English. That was about all I liked. The food and entertainment were awful, and the entertainers and kids club staff spoke only Spanish. It was very loud at night. On weekends, which apparently happens every weekend, Spanish gypsy guests fill the place. I wouldn't have minded who they were, but some were rude and left toilet rolls in the pool, along with half-empty packets and empty cups all over the pool area. It felt more like a sunny Butlins.

The beach and long, beautifully cared-for promenade are lovely. The Diverhotel itself is older, but spotless, well managed, and staffed by friendly people. It's a great place for families with young kids, though teenagers might find it too quiet. We love staying here and would happily return.

When I got sick, they brought me meals of my own, which was so kind. The staff were lovely, and the kids' room was fun, with two bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe. The pools were amazing too. We had a really good stay.

There was plenty to keep the kids occupied, so nobody got bored. The staff were helpful and friendly. Most guests seemed to be from Spain, with not many people from England, which made the atmosphere especially nice. We didn't have to rush out early to claim sun loungers.
