EXE Puerto de Sagunto

Our room was immaculate and one of the cleanest we've stayed in, and the staff were very friendly. We spent four nights with breakfast included. It was okay, with the usual cereals and pastries. For tourists, the location isn't ideal: it's on the docks, surrounded by a large industrial estate and far from much else. The pool is small and feels awkward right beside a busy road, so we didn't use it, though its 10am to 9pm hours are nice. We'd probably stay with this hotel chain again, just somewhere better located.

The staff were all kind and pleasant, and both the hotel and room were spotless, better than we expected. Breakfast was reasonable, with plenty of options like cereal, toast, and croissants. The pool is small and feels awkward in such an industrial area. The biggest issue is the location, near the port, factories, and workplaces, with little to do, especially in Sagunto town. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, but tends to be busy with locals. As a tourist visiting from the UK, I didn't feel welcome or appreciated. This shouldn't be advertised on UK holiday travel sites because the area is so inconvenient for visitors. It's a 10-minute Uber ride to the train station, then 40 minutes by train to Valencia. You're better off paying a little more to stay in the main city.

The staff are really nice and happy to help with advice for any situation. The hotel is easy to recommend. The beach isn't far away, rooms have a TV and bathtub, and breakfast has a very good selection of food.

The people working at the hotel were helpful and kind, and the weather we had this week was five stars. Still, this is nowhere near a four-star hotel, maybe two at most. It's in a factory area with limited transport connections. Breakfast was one of the simplest I've ever had and a real disappointment. The pool looks spacious in the promotional pictures, but it's very small. If you're planning a vacation here, I'd look for another hotel in the Valencia area.
