Hotel Sercotel Las Torres Salamanca

The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were efficient and polite too. I had a great three-night stay in Salamanca and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Apologies for the messy-room photos, I took them on the day we were leaving.

The room was filthy. There were suspicious hairs on the toilet seat when we arrived, so I had to remove them before I could use the bathroom. There was hair on the bed, a greasy head mark on the headboard, and something on the bathroom floor that looked like dog food or poop. I told a staff member when we got back late one night. He said it could be cleaned or we could change rooms, but moving at that hour was very inconvenient, and it was too late to clean it, so I declined. He said he’d let the day staff know. The next morning, after walking up four flights of stairs, our key didn’t work, so we had to go back down. I thought maybe they wanted me at the desk to sort out the dirty room, but she just gave me a new key and said nothing about it. Nobody offered a better room, breakfast, account credit, or anything to make it right. Terrible customer service. The room was also right beside the elevator and very noisy. The closet door needs adjusting so it stays open.

Breakfast was tasty, with a good range of food, kept clean and stocked. The young woman helping was clearly overloaded, but she was still smiling and helpful. The hotel is downtown in Salamanca, just off plaza mator. The room was comfortable in general, though the air conditioning was kind of noisy, and the walls and room corners needed a better clean.

The location was excellent, and breakfast was good. The rooms were OK, but for the price, the value felt average.
