Villa De Sallent

The winter view from the room was magical, and getting to the slopes was just a short walk. The hotel is central in Formigal and has its own shuttle service. We got great value for money, with friendly staff at reception, breakfast, the cafeteria and housekeeping. Special thanks to Roberto at the desk and Luba from housekeeping.

After staying at several places in Formigal, this is easily my favorite. The location is really good, the service was great and the food was amazing. 10/10.

There were four of us, and snow-blocked roads meant we couldn't get there. They kept €400 from each of us with no refund at all. If you've paid in advance, don't expect any leniency from these people.

We were two people on a four-night stay, and the package included breakfast and three-day ski lift passes for a really good price. The location was handy, near the bars and shops, with a little elevation that gave us nice views. From arrival, we felt welcome. The receptionist was friendly and helpful with our questions, and the housekeeping staff were always pleasant in the mornings. Our room was cosy and had enough space for our equipment. Breakfast was a well-stocked continental buffet with hot plates, juice, pastries, ham and cheese. They had plant-based milk and gluten-free bread on request. I only wished beans were offered with the hot food. The breakfast team worked hard, were attentive and cheerful, and helped us with every request over the four days. It was a lovely way to start each day before skiing. The sauna in the evening was a great extra and helped keep the aches down. We had a fantastic stay and hope to come back. I'd recommend it.
