I was here back in 2005, and I’m heading back soon for our 10-year anniversary. Curious to see how much Salou has changed.

We had a great family stay. The apartment was really nice, with roomy bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of kitchen gear, a washing machine, and a big terrace we made good use of. Shops of all sorts and the beach were close by. I came with my mother, son, brothers, and sister-in-law, and we’d happily return. Thanks so much to the hosts!

There was no real sense of security: the downstairs building door was left open, and someone could open the apartment windows from outside. The place smelled awful, the sheets and mattresses were stained, and there were bugs in the sofa bed, which wouldn’t even open. We couldn’t get a decent night’s sleep during our two days there. When I finally had time to report the problems, they said there was nothing they could do and that I should have told them sooner. A terrible experience.

On Friday, May 23, 2025, just before 11:00 PM, my boyfriend and his two friends were trying to find another place to stay. They’d found bedbugs in every room when they checked into the apartment. They called reception about three times to ask for a room change and got no answer, then went there in person but still couldn’t get through. They have a race tomorrow and have no idea when they’ll get to bed.
