B&B Hotel Girona 2

The complimentary tea and coffee are available around the clock, which was a real plus. Staff were helpful, parking was good, and the rooms were spacious and clean. There's also a superb Mall close by for shopping and food, and the hotel is in a fabulous location.

The rooms and beds are spacious compared with most two star hotels, and there's even a small cooling cabinet for keeping drinks or other things cool. The hotel is very pet friendly, with private parking and charging spots. Renovations a few years ago made a noticeable difference, especially in the nicely updated breakfast area, which has a functional buffet setup. The breakfast itself is above what I'd expect from a two star hotel.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, so it could have been a pleasant stay. But the smell was awful, and I had to sleep with the window open just to manage it. The room smelled terrible.

Check-in went smoothly, and the lady at the desk was nice. After that, it was one problem after another. In the first room, the bedside lamp was broken and the LED strip kept flickering. The second room hadn't been cleaned. In the third, the AC made so much noise that sleeping was impossible. Just a terrible experience. B&B hotels are usually good, but stay away from this one.
