Alsol Nogal - Adults Only

The man who welcomed us was polite and professional, but the apartment was poor or mediocre in almost every other way for the high price of €190 a day. Both single beds had miserable mattresses, one with a huge dip in it, and the living room couch was cheap and uncomfortable. Smoke smell came from inside and drifted in from neighbors. We got only two tiny towels, changed every three days, and were told no when we asked for more, so we had to reuse them damp. The kitchenware was low quality and in bad shape. There was no air conditioning or kitchen ventilation, and the WiFi was too slow to use, so we had to rely on our own data. Avoid it if you can.

The location worked brilliantly for our Gran Canaria holiday: Cita Shopping Centre is close, the Dunes of Maspalomas and Yumbo Shopping Centre are a few minutes away on foot, and nights were quiet enough for good sleep. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, especially Yamina and Jeroen. They messaged us two days ahead to arrange our arrival and send directions and key collection details, then timed check-in to our arrival so we didn't have to wait. The room was ready and clean, with wine and water waiting, and they even left fresh bread each morning. Cleaning and towel changes happened every other day. They also gave us useful details about the local carnival so we could enjoy the parade safely. The apartment had what we needed, including a microwave, kitchen, toaster, kettle, caffettiere, fridge, condiments and washing utensils. The decor and furniture aren't modern, and the WiFi could be better, but it was a pleasant, clean place. The pool was clean and warm, and the jacuzzi worked well, which hasn't been true at other places we've stayed in Gran Canaria. There was an unpleasant machine noise near the pool, and the surrounding area is small, though those were minor drawbacks. One pillow was too flat and two were too tall for my neck, just a personal preference. I found the rules sensible, including no smoking in rooms and no illegal substances. My partner and I were happy with our stay and would come back. Thanks to the staff for making it so enjoyable.

Good location and the WiFi worked well. Fresh rolls are left on your door handle each morning 😊. The resort itself is nice, though the decor feels very dated.

Friendly people, a great spot to stay, and a top location. I'd happily return and highly recommend it.
