Green Park Apartments

The apartment itself was nice enough, and I can’t complain about much else, but the visitor rule is a BIGGY. No visitors at any time, even if you just want to bring someone back for a drink or to get ready before going out. If you’re hoping to make friends or have a holiday romance, that makes it difficult. They should make this clear when booking, not after you’ve arrived and paid.

I’ve stayed here three years running and have always found the rooms and pool clean. The location is brilliant, not far from yumbo, with a nice Irish bar opposite. There’s now a pool bar, and the woman working there is so welcoming and fun to chat with. It’s great for what you pay. My friend and I are booking again for November. Can’t wait.

It’s under new management and still affordable. They’ve added free WiFi and renovated the lifts. Room cleaning was a small letdown: just twice in 11 nights, with no fresh toilet paper or towels, so I had to go to reception. Apart from that, I’ll return.

These are very basic apartments, but perfectly adequate. The kitchen had the essentials, including a kettle, toaster, hob, cutlery and plates, plus a small seating and dining area. The fitted wardrobes had two large single beds pushed together. We had one cleaning during our 7 day stay. The pool area had plenty of sunbeds, though I thought the pool could have been cleaner because there was green algae around the inner edges. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. It’s close to bars, restaurants and music venues, and there’s a great market every Wednesday and Saturday. The room safe costs 3€ per day, with a 10€ refundable deposit.
