The location brings some daytime noise, including from the neighboring hotel's pool, so it may not suit someone after complete quiet. It didn't bother us much, though, and we’re already keen to try the new restaurant when it opens. The rest of our stay at HL Rondo was a real surprise: the renovation feels thorough, with spacious, modern rooms and everything spotless. Staff were warm and professional from reception through the restaurant, and half board was well worth it even in peak season. We also had free access to Stark Fitness, right in the hotel, with new equipment and a Finnish sauna in the changing room. Great value, and we'd happily return.

The team were welcoming throughout, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. My room was cleaned daily and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruit and eggs, sandwiches, and pancakes made in front of you. Rodrigo made me a heart-shaped pancake and some of the best omelettes I’ve had. The poolside food was good too. It’s a good location, though the beach is about a 20-minute walk. The shuttle wasn’t always on time; I waited around 10 minutes one day and missed it. I didn’t mind much because we rented a car a few days in. The gym beside the hotel was free for guests, very clean, and had new machines.

Anjela from housekeeping helped us out when I got stuck in the bathroom because of a faulty lock, and we were really grateful. The gym was clean and excellent, too. At reception, Chema was especially helpful, sharing useful information and adjusting our checkout time around our flights. Rodrigo made breakfast feel special and was happy to handle our requests, while Rubén gave great service as well. We had a lovely stay at Hotel HL Rondo and would gladly come back.

Free entry to the gym next door is a great extra, especially since it’s one of the best in Maspalomas. Breakfast had a good selection, and the breakfast crew were particularly attentive. The eggs were cooked just right. Our room was roomy and modern, with a comfortable bed and an excellent shower. The pool and jacuzzi were calm and well cared for, and the loungers were comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by this place in Playa del Inglés and would happily stay here.

The pool stayed lovely and clean, and even during Winter Pride it never felt packed. Our bright, spotless room had more space than we expected, which made settling in easy. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice each morning. The staff were so friendly, and being welcomed with a drink at check-in made the stay feel relaxed from the start. Housekeeping deserves a big thank you too: they turned the room around incredibly quickly every day, and it always looked perfect. We’d absolutely recommend HL Rondo and stay again.
