Las Perlas and Orquideas Apartments

The cleaning ladies were very nice, and we enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel just a couple of minutes from the beach. Still, next time we’ll choose somewhere else. The service was poor: the listing mentioned a hair dryer and iron, so I didn’t bring them from home, but they weren’t there. I called the apartment owner to ask, and he ignored me. The kettle was broken too, and nobody responded to my complaint. The phone number put me through to someone I could barely hear or understand.

Once we were checked in, the place was generally good, with clean rooms, a nice-sized terrace and a good location. Service was great and the pool was basic, nothing special. But we waited around an hour or two on arrival for someone to check us in. There’s no check-in area, and you have to call the numbers on the door. We were also given just one key for four people, which wasn’t ideal. The locks don’t open from inside without a key, which is technically a fire hazard.

The sea is just one street away, and Kasbah is nearby. It’s a nice place to stay, though it isn’t in the centre of Playa del Ingles.

All the important facilities were there and well maintained, and the apartment was kept clean. It’s a good choice for a longer stay. The sun terrace and garden are basic, and the balcony faces the sun but gives you very little sea view. The location is also a bit far from the nice nightlife spots.
