We’d stayed here twice before and had a great time, but this visit was a real letdown. The first room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests: their travel itinerary was still there, there were no towels, and the floor was filthy. The shower door was coming off its runner, the curtains were hanging off the rails, and the kitchen cupboard doors were nearly falling off. Reception offered another room after we complained, but it was just as bad. Other returning guests agreed that the place isn’t as clean or well cared for as it used to be. It’s a shame to see it go downhill like this. Management needs to get things back to how they were, or the resort may not last. We won’t stay here again.

The pool was warm as a bath, and the sunbeds were comfortable. It’s simple accommodation, but the lovely staff went out of their way to help. We’ll be back.

We’ve stayed here now and then over the years, and from outside you’d never guess how large the complex is. This two-week visit was relaxing and mostly quiet, and we’ve already decided to return. Reception gave us a warm welcome and showed us to bungalow 105, which was very clean and had everything we needed. The grounds are cared for, with artificial grass being replaced during our stay and some bungalow exteriors being repainted. We saw workers go into bungalows with paint after holidaymakers had left. The cleaners were friendly and did a good job on their working days, from 7:00 to 15:00. You get clean towels Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Thursday and Sunday are their days off. The kitchenette had a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, saucepans, frying pan, and plates in the big bottom drawer, plus small cups. We bought mugs and a little yellow-handled knife for cheese and potatoes, and left them in bungalow 105. I hope they’re still there for the next guests. We also got a tea towel, sponge, and dishcloth, and left washing-up liquid under the sink. The beds were comfortable, though the mattresses had dips. The bedroom window faced an outside path area that could use a tidy up, with the mattress there removed. If it were mine, I’d clear the area and add artificial grass and Canarian pots with cacti. The bedroom also gets hot at night, so bring a small electric fan. There’s only one in the lounge. We could reach shops and Yumbo easily, and the beach was about a 15-minute walk at our pace, longer if you take it leisurely. One thing did bother us: the elderly couple in bungalow 104 made a lot of noise cooking, eating, washing up, and banging the cupboard doors so hard it felt like they might come through into our bungalow. We’ve really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. The bungalows are spacious and very clean, and everyone else on the staff made an effort to welcome us, especially our two boys. The one disappointment was the man on evening reception. When we arrived with our sons grinning from ear to ear, he didn’t even offer a welcoming smile and seemed to have an attitude.
