Most of the bungalow complexes in Campo International, Maspalomas, date from the mass tourism boom of the 1980s and 1990s. Like many of the others, this one now needs repairs or renovation by owners who bought in the last 10 to 15 years, either as an investment and second home or sometimes as their main residence. That situation followed a period when supply outstripped demand, with the millennium price rise, the change to euros and, above all, all-inclusive tourism. Other destinations around the world offer a much better product and don't depend only on year-round sunshine. We need more quality and less quantity. Sadly, that won't be easy in the time of Covid 19 and with the recent uncontrollable immigration issues.
