This is a nice spot for kids to explore, right by the beach, with clean facilities, rest areas, and plenty of washrooms. The aquarium is small and arranged over two floors. The first floor is a general ocean exhibition rather than live fish, and there's a good range of material and a view over San Sebastian.
We watched boat and swimming races through the windows overlooking the bay, and the views were spectacular. Inside, the Aquarium San Sebastián has lovely tanks with all sorts of fish, a glass walk-through tube like Sea World, and informative exhibits on fish and the area's fishing history. It was one of our favorite tourist activities and well worth the admission.
A fun stop for an hour or two before heading off on my pintxos crawl in Old Town. The displays and tanks are well done, with fish from local and Amazonian waters, plus a substantial section on the area's maritime history.
We had a lovely family visit. It's a small, cozy aquarium that's kept in good condition, with information rooms and tanks full of different marine life. There weren't many people around.
It's not very big, but it's worth a visit. A nice experience, and you can see a small island.
