The airline lost my suitcase after I’d checked out, and the staff at Pension Kursaal received it and promptly got in touch so I could collect it. Their help and kindness made a stressful problem much easier, and I’m not sure what I’d have done without them. They were incredibly friendly throughout my stay, and the room was very comfortable. I spent my first night in San Sebastián there and would gladly have stayed longer, but they were fully booked for the next few nights. I highly recommend the place.

I loved the old-fashioned lift, and the room had a lovely balcony and a modern bathroom. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the Old Town, with plenty of nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Nothing fancy, but it has what you need for a comfortable stay. I really enjoyed being here.

Avoid this place. I got horrible bites all over my body after staying here, and I was itchy for weeks. I added photos as proof, but the hotel dismissed my complaints as allergies. I’m convinced they were bed bugs. The hotel is not safe.

Clean, pleasant rooms and staff who were helpful and quick to respond. Good value for the price.

The building is old, but the modern room was simple and comfortable. It’s on the first floor, and there’s a lift for luggage. Shops and cafés are right outside, with an easy walk over the bridge to the old town. The beach and transport are nearby too. Staff were helpful and enthusiastic. What more could you ask for?
