Our flight was cancelled because of an airport security risk evacuation. The property wouldn’t move our check-in dates or offer any other accommodation or compensation. We tried to reach them as soon as it happened, but they didn’t answer calls or messages until a day after our planned departure date. We lost over €300. The customer service was horrible.

The location is okay, near the beach and some restaurants, though the old town is about a 25-minute walk. The hotel feels old and a bit smelly 🫢, and the rooms are old-fashioned and really small, with barely enough space for luggage. The shower is so tiny it’s hard to use, and the roller blinds were broken during our stay with nobody coming to repair them. I’m not sure I can recommend it 🫣.

The rooms were good and clean, and you’re near Zurriola beach, where you can surf. It’s a 15-20 minute walk to the old town, though. There’s no air-conditioning, and the ground-floor rooms face a busy street, so evenings and mornings can be a bit noisy.

It’s an average-priced place with spacious rooms and a clean bathroom, though the shower is a little small. The rooms face the street, which can make nights noisy. There are beach towels, and you’re very close to a great surfing beach. No breakfast is offered, but lots of nearby places serve desayunos.

The only hitch was the Wi-Fi. It showed as connected, but there was no internet access. Otherwise, the place was very clean, comfortable, and well laid out.
