Hostal Manolita

We felt singled out from the first night, repeatedly accused of sneaking people into the hotel and questioned every day. We were polite and respectful, but staff were rude and made us feel unwelcome. The male receptionist spoke no English and shouted at us in Spanish several times, for reasons we couldn’t understand. Reception staff also refused to book a taxi for us more than once, telling us to walk to the main taxi rank, even though they booked taxis for other guests. We felt this treatment may have been because we were younger. At checkout, we were kept waiting in reception until a cleaner inspected our room. It was embarrassing, especially when other guests were free to leave. We hadn’t made a mess, and the cleaners said we could go. The room itself was adequate, but the bathroom was unpleasant. The shower curtain was filthy along the bottom, the sink and tap smelled of drains, and the dated decor was hard to look at. I’d advise young couples not to stay here. We didn’t feel respected or able to enjoy our holiday, and we won’t return on our next trip to Ibiza.

We spent seven days in a comfortable, clean room with a terrace and a great view. The hotel is within walking distance of the port, beaches, bus station, grocery stores, and restaurants, while still being in a quiet area and a useful spot in San Antonio. The staff were kind and attentive, especially Manola. We arrived very early, around 8 am or even before, and they let us check in and rest. They lent us a parasol, cooler, and toys for our child, and we could shower on the last day after checkout so we could enjoy the rest of the day. They also had helpful information on good places to visit and car rental. Garage and breakfast cost extra. I recommend the breakfast, which was complete and tasty. We had a lovely stay with my husband and child, and I highly recommend this welcoming place.

The hotel is close to bars and restaurants, but there was no party or street noise. Rooms were clean, though a little old, and staff were amazing and very kind. The one thing I’d flag is that towels aren’t changed. It was a great experience otherwise, and good value for money.

A spacious, clean room with a huge bed, and the staff were really friendly. There’s secure parking, which made leaving our hired car easy. San Antonio is a great base if you want to avoid the young ravers, and there are lovely restaurants nearby. Excellent hotel.
