Hotel Món Sant Benet

The food at the restaurant was delicious, and we could watch the chef working. He was very clean and organised. I didn’t catch his name, but he deserves a recommendation. Our only wish was for slightly larger portions. Silvia made check-in a great experience, gave us a bigger room, and explained the restaurant options. Joan served us at the pool and was very polite at dinner too. Adrian made our gin tonics at the bar and was friendly and talkative. Danny at the pool bar was great with us as well. Great work by the whole team. We were surprised to find such a gem just an hour from home. We’ll definitely come back, and recommend it if you’re in the area.

We found the guided audio tour of the historic site really interesting, and the guide was professional and courteous. Before leaving, we enjoyed a morning walk around the grounds and nearby monastery. The hotel is beautifully designed to take in the lovely view of the monastery on the hill. The rooms are modest, clean, and well designed, with blackout shades that let us sleep soundly. The outdoor pool was beautiful too. I took videos of the space, and they helped me remember it well. The WiFi was very fast, which was handy.

The bed creaked quite a bit, though I may just be sensitive to noise. Apart from that, the rooms are nicely arranged and mostly in good repair. The hotel is modern, lovely, and in a great location, with clean rooms, tidy spaces, and lovely staff throughout. The hotel and gardens around it are well kept. I’d definitely stay again.

We’re still staying at Hotel Món Sant Benet until May 1st, but after what happened I’ve never felt so disrespected or met with such coldness and lack of empathy at a hotel. I hope the owners and managers take this seriously. Anyone expecting basic courtesy, safety, and respect should know about this experience. I was there for a friend’s wedding nearby, and the couple had recommended the hotel to their guests. On the night of April 29th, 2025, after we returned from the wedding party, I went to reception to ask for drinking water. There was none in the minibar, and my wife, our daughters aged 3 and 4, and I needed water before bed, especially after drinking at the event. The receptionist said the bar was closed and refused to give us any water. I explained calmly who was with me and why we needed it, but he still wouldn’t help. When I pressed the matter firmly but respectfully, he called the police. They took my passport at the hotel reception. Only after this humiliating ordeal did they finally agree to give me a few bottles of water. The receptionist also refused to tell me his name, even after I asked more than once. That leaves me feeling extremely unsafe about staying here with my family. A simple request for water turned into police involvement. To me, that’s outrageous, and shows gross mismanagement and a total lack of common sense or human decency.
