For the cheapest place we found on the island, we were surprised breakfast buffet was included. You go into the neighboring hotel to eat, and there's a swimming pool there too. Check-in is at reception for hotel playa blanca, which has the same owner. Helpful staff made things easy. We were nervous after reading the bad reviews, but ended up liking this place more than hotels in Palma that cost much more. Everything was wonderfully clean, with distinctive rooms and marble floors. There was no AC, but opening the balcony and using the fan kept us comfortable, even at 30 degrees. Three beaches are only a few minutes away. We found SA coma the clearest, with fine white sand and the warmest water of the island's beaches, plus a nice blue flag. Cala Major is worth a visit if you can get there too, small but picturesque. A very well located budget option, honestly.

The room was very simple, but it was cleaned each day and the towels and bedding were replaced every couple of days. It suited us fine as a place to sleep and get up in the morning. Breakfast was served each morning at the sister hotel up the road, where the pool is too. I enjoyed the stay and would go back anytime.

The one good thing was the lovely man at the desk, who sorted things out for us. But we only stayed one night before switching hotels. Someone tried to kick our door and threatened us, telling us to get out of the room, for reasons we couldn't understand. We called the police, but they came and did nothing. This place is right on the beach, but the experience made us feel it was worth paying extra to stay somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend it.
