The hotel was clean and nice, but for a 4 star place, the response when I asked about water in the room was shocking. There hadn’t been any on the second day, so I went to reception. They just said, “you want water go to a supermarket,” then walked away without explaining anything.

We could relax and switch off during our long June weekend, but we wouldn’t return, especially for the price we paid. The booking payment was a mess: it had already been paid through booking.com, yet we were asked to pay again at check-in. We paid, then booking.com refunded us a few weeks later, so for a while we’d paid £1400 twice. Our apartment’s plunge pool was lovely, but a rancid smell from the boiler sometimes made it hard to stay inside. There were lots of ants on the patio. After we reported them, someone sprayed them, but the dead ants were left there for two days. More came on the third night and got inside. At the front desk, we were told, “it’s a bottom floor - this happens,” and nobody came to sort it out. Checkout was at 11am. At 10:10am on our last day, we were on the patio and went back to shower and collect our things, but our wristband had stopped working and we were locked out in our swimwear. My partner got his band “reactivated” at reception, but it still didn’t work. A lovely housekeeper let me in while he went back again. He came back with a woman from the front desk, who saw I was already inside thanks to the housekeeper and left. Our bands were never fixed, so we had to leave the door unlocked until checkout to make sure we could get our belongings. It all felt clunky, with no apology or explanation. The food was okay, with an okay selection that rotated. Restaurant service was mixed. Our group’s drink orders were ignored, and they took more than 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked, we got eye rolls and tuts. It didn’t happen every time, but often enough that we started eating out, despite having paid for all inclusive. We also felt unwelcome at times, like a nuisance rather than guests, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. A lot of the resort isn’t covered by “all inclusive.” Drinks at the bar by the apartments, where some evening entertainment was held, cost extra. One show was meant to be in the main building’s bar but was accidentally set up at the bar that wasn’t included. They eventually corrected it, but it added to the other frustrations.

We loved the pool and spa area, with two pools, great sea views and plenty of sunbeds. The room was spacious, with a queen size bed, walk-in shower, air conditioning and a small balcony with a table and chairs. It was cleaned every day. The whole hotel felt clean, modern and welcoming, from reception to the airy bar and dining room. We were all inclusive and really enjoyed the food. There was a good variety every day, with Greek nite, Spanish and Italian nite. The location is quiet and peaceful, and all the staff were friendly. We’d definitely come back.

We had an amazing, relaxing stay and will be back. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the food was really good.
