Binibeca Mar II

The apartment made our visit to the nice Binibeca area a disaster. We'd booked three nights, but stayed just one because we arrived late and had to put up with it for the night. Honestly, I would have been better off sleeping under a bridge than on that unhygienic mattress. It was nothing like the pictures on Booking.com: old and poorly maintained inside and out, dirty and damp, with mosquitoes and spiders everywhere. They didn't provide toilet paper, shampoo or other basics. The white sheets were yellow-stained and dirty, and when we lifted the mattress, it was full of dust mites and insects. This place should be shut down by the health authorities.

The location is good, but the apartment's cleanliness and furniture condition were disappointing. The sofa was stained and made a very bad impression. They left us just one roll of toilet paper for four people, and the towel supply was far too small.

The shower was especially unsettling: its base wasn't cracked, but felt unstable underfoot, so using it felt unsafe and added to the discomfort. The bedding also looked years old and left a lot to be desired for hygiene and comfort. The apartment seemed neglected and poorly maintained throughout. Its old, worn wardrobes barely did their job, the mattresses felt like torture devices rather than somewhere comfortable to sleep, and the mismatched dishes made it feel more like a flea market than comfortable accommodation. A very disappointing stay, and one I would hardly recommend.

The photos attached speak for themselves, I think. I booked three nights but only stayed one, then had to find another apartment the next day. What a derelict place. The putrid smell mixed with bleach made it hard to spend even one night there. They haven't put a single euro into it for years, and it shows.
