Hotel Xaloc Playa

The pool area could do with more umbrellas, and we often struggled to find a free sunbed. People would leave towels on beds first thing in the morning, then go out for the whole day, so quite a few beds sat unused. Apart from that, we had a lovely seven-night stay. The beach is right across the road, the food was lovely, and the staff were five-star. Everything was spotless, and although the rooms are basic, they were lovely and clean, with daily cleaning.

We spent 11 nights here, and the hotel is in an excellent location with great staff. The room was basic but clean enough, though it had no fridge or kettle. Housekeeping could have been more thorough, and they weren’t keen to provide extra toilet rolls. The food was good, mostly meat and vegetables, with the occasional Spanish dish or curry. We’d definitely stay again.

The gardens were a real highlight, and you never know what you might spot in them! It’s a great hotel, just a minute’s walk from the beach at Punta Prima.

The regular rooms really are too small for three adults, though the triple room is good. Marion was amazing and managed to move us. The food is excellent quality, and the whole place is spotless.
