The dorm room was so cold, cramped, and poorly lit that it felt like a jail cell. We booked two beds because of the good reviews, but after arriving we decided pretty quickly to leave. Those ratings must be for the private rooms. I can't recommend the dorm, especially at €15 a night.

The price felt far too high for what we got. There was only one shower, and it wasn't working properly. The pilgrims' room was dirty, poorly equipped, and had no window; the blankets were cheap, single-use ones, which doesn't seem very sustainable. Check-in meant using a strange app by yourself, and the waitress kept us waiting.

The staff were rude and unwelcoming to pilgrims. The place itself smells bad and is run down, and the rooms are cramped and unpleasantly smelly. Eight pilgrims have to share one bathroom.

There wasn't really anywhere comfortable to spend time except the restaurant or the very dim rooms, so the place felt awkward to be in. The rooms themselves were okay if you arrive with low expectations, and they do the job, but our experience with the staff was unwelcoming. Two of us paid €60 for beds and pilgrim meals. After eating, we walked around town and bought a snack at a shop. When we came back, our roommates had just finished their meal and we sat with them in the hostel sitting area. We were loudly told that food not bought there wasn't allowed, and that because of the “bosses rules” we had to eat outside, even though it was pouring rain. It was a strange rule, and the way it was said was really rude and embarrassing, especially after we'd already spent quite a lot there. I'd suggest spending your money at one of the town's other nice hostels or restaurants.

Loved my stay. I got a private room, and the staff were really helpful. They even made the exact off-menu dish I asked for. Mabel in the bar is a wee honey, and the place was very clean.
