The standout for us was the spacious rooftop terrace, with lovely views of the old town and good outdoor furniture. There’s also a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Inside, Inesa and Mario's apartment was spotless and in excellent shape, with quality furnishings, supplies, mattresses, linens, and plenty of towels. Weekly cleaning was included, too. When a technical problem came up during our stay, Inesa handled it with care and a friendly, accommodating attitude, and resolved it to our satisfaction. After many trips to Tenerife over the past 20 years, this was the best place we’ve stayed. Thanks to Inesa and Mario for a memorable visit to Casa Emblematica. The apartment is right in the old town of Santa Cruz, so we could explore the capital on foot without needing a car for the whole stay. Buses and trams are easy and affordable for getting around farther afield. From the Constitution or Plaza España stops, Playas las Teresitas is about half an hour away. I recommend getting a Titsa card, and the Intercambiador makes it easy to reach other parts of the island.

We’ve already spent four holidays in a row here, and the house has always been as lovely as it looks in the photos. It’s clearly very well cared for. The roof terrace is the best part, especially with its outdoor kitchen. The owners are very friendly and easy to reach in person, by WhatsApp, or by email, and they’re happy to share Tenerife tips. It’s right in the lively center of Santa Cruz. Weekends get busy around the house, but that didn’t disturb us. The secure parking garage is about a three-minute walk away and can be a tight fit. A rental no larger than an Opel Corsa or Renault Clio should manage. Highly recommended.

The location made it easy to get to restaurants like Baobab, the tram to La Laguna, and the promenade for a morning run. The welcome was excellent, and the apartment matched the photos, with everything well equipped. There was even oil, spices, salt, butter, ham, bread, jams, fruit, and charcoal for the barbecue, plus sponges, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, bin bags, laundry detergent, a clothes dryer, and bicycles. The terrace was superb, with parasols and quality furniture, and the separate dressing room had plenty of space.
