Casa Kilig

The room was huge and felt really fresh, and the decor was incredible. We could use the facilities, and Wi-Fi was free. The building itself is beautiful, and everything else inside was perfect, so I'm giving it five stars and we'd come back. We had the front bedroom and roadworks ran from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., so we got no sleep. We arrived late for a business trip and really needed rest. Still, these things can happen.

There are lovely shared areas, including a living room, kitchen, and terrace, and the rooms are beautiful and huge. The shared bathroom, though, is tiny. The hostel is right by a major road, and the windows do nothing to block the traffic noise. Wi-Fi had a few small problems, though maybe that was temporary.

We ended up extending our stay because the service was so good for this kind of place. The host was very welcoming and spoke English, which was a relief after spending all day struggling with Spanish. It's centrally located, so cars go by often, but that didn't bother me. Las Ramblas is nearby, with great restaurants, especially Taverna Ramon, and nice walks.

The room was spacious and reminded me of Buenos Aires, which I loved. The building has a good vibe, and I was welcomed and shown around. The bed was comfortable, and the room, bathroom, and whole place were clean. There's a kitchen with all the basics for cooking your own food, and breakfast is standard. I really liked the place, but the road noise bothered me since I'm not used to it.
