Hotel Coral Beach by MIJ

We were two adults and three kids on a two-week all-inclusive stay, with two rooms. The air conditioning blew out black mould. There was entertainment for only three nights. We were told the entertainment manager was off sick, then someone let slip there wasn’t one. On our fifth day, they drained half the pool and started packing up the hotel around us. Dinner ran from 7 to 10 p.m., but the food had run out by 7:30 and they refused to put out more. The customer service was absolutely disgusting. Avoid.

We were there from 3/08/25-10/08/25. Our flight was late at night, so we didn’t arrive until around midnight. I brought my own travel kettle because I like to make my own drinks. They said you could hire one, and also told us we could hire a fridge, though I’m not sure where they’d put it since the rooms have no fridges. I brought long-life milk. I paid extra for a pool view and got one, with a view of the sea too. I was disappointed there was no evening entertainment, especially in the first week of August. I love paella, but there wasn’t any on Sunday, our last evening, which was supposed to be Spanish night. Not sure what that was about. We’d paid extra for a late return flight, so I expected three all-inclusive days on the final day, but was initially told we’d only get breakfast. I discussed it with staff, who sorted it out with management, and we were given lunch and dinner too. Staff were friendly, the cleaning was good, and when we asked for extras we got them, so overall I was pleased for a three-star place. The rooms are a little dated. Tea and coffee facilities would be a nice idea, especially for late arrivals; not everyone wants water from a vending machine.

The staff were second to none. They even opened the restaurant early so we could have breakfast before our very early flight. The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed our seven all-inclusive days, 15-22/9. We had a drain smell in both rooms, much worse in the first one. It seemed like it might be a local area issue, not just the hotel. Staff moved us without any hassle, and the second room was much better, with a pool view. Hopefully we’ll return one day. The rooms were a good size, with tiled floors and clean bathrooms. We had lovely views and balconies, and the hotel is perfectly placed for the beach. We booked half board, but breakfast and dinner weren’t the best, as you might expect in a larger place. The hotel welcomes smaller children.
