Leonardo Royal & Suites hotel Ibiza Santa Eulalia

Our five-day stay was enjoyable overall, and we’d return for a similar length of time. The superior room was very comfortable and had what we needed, and the hotel sits in a beautiful, pleasant spot. The food selection was okay for all-inclusive, and you won’t go hungry, but nothing in the restaurant is labeled. It’s hard to tell what you’re eating, and that could be dangerous for anyone with allergies. The all-inclusive drinks selection isn’t great, and they’re always served in small plastic cups. We didn’t choose the hotel for its entertainment, so I can’t really judge that. During the day, though, we never saw the entertainment team by the pool. You have to check a board to find out what’s on.

The room was clean, the view was lovely, and the area was nice, but I wouldn’t recommend it to couples. The walls are paper thin, showers run slowly, and the hot breakfast options were disappointing. Many people at the desk weren’t very welcoming. By 8, towels had been put on all the sunbeds to save them, and staff did nothing about it.

We had a great holiday. The pools were a bit chilly, but the animation team was good. My one complaint is that the schedule wasn’t displayed clearly, so we didn’t know what evening entertainment was on. Our room was lovely, comfortable and clean, and housekeeping were excellent and always pleasant. There was a varied menu at the restaurant, with something even for a fussy eater. Reception were welcoming and helpful, and the bar staff were pleasant.

The beach is good, and there is a quiet feel to the area, but it’s not a great location for us. We wouldn’t return to this hotel or use it elsewhere. There weren’t nearly enough sunbeds for the number of guests. Some were damaged or covered in bird droppings, and towels were left on beds to reserve them. There was no music or pool activity, and the evening entertainment for adults was disappointing compared with other hotels we’ve stayed at. The meals were shocking. Nothing was labeled, which was especially bad for people who don’t eat meat, since almost everything seemed to contain it. Some days there were several pork options, which my partner can’t eat. The all-inclusive glasses were far too small, so we had to keep going back for drinks. Worse, I asked for apple juice once and was given alcohol instead. I’m pregnant, so that was obviously dangerous. The fridge in our room was horribly loud and kept us up most nights. The walls were paper thin, and a screaming baby next door kept us awake every night and woke us each morning, repeatedly waking our child too.
