The patio was the best part of the house, though it was shared by the different apartments. The location is good, and the bedrooms are very large, but the interior felt quite old, especially the kitchen. The bed frames creaked and seemed old too. It was cold inside, and while I don't know exactly where the thermostat was, I couldn't adjust the temperature because it was in the landlady's apartment. She said state regulations meant it couldn't go above 19 degrees Celsius. The kitchen utensils were old, and things like the mop, dustpan, and brush were so disgusting I didn't want to touch them.

The quiet surroundings and natural setting made this a lovely place to spend time together as a family. We’re new to Santander after three years in Spain, and finding somewhere that worked for my wife, daughters, and me was complicated. We were lucky to find it. Thank you, Mariángeles, for being so kind. We’d be glad to come back when things are different. It’s the simple parts of life here that we appreciated most.
