Reception service was good, with friendly staff who suggested places to visit for dinner and shopping. Breakfast is the same buffet each day. The twin beds are narrow, not a typical hotel size. There are no laundry facilities for longer stays and no dinner options. Apart from that, it’s a good older hotel in Santander’s industrial area.

Room 115 faced the garden, so highway noise was less disruptive, and the windows kept sound out pretty well. Wi-Fi worked okay there, and the shower was spacious with good towels. We were first put in room 324, which faced the other way. A factory nearby made constant mechanical noise and a metallic smell, and Wi-Fi didn’t reach the room. They let us change rooms. Both rooms had a faint smoky smell, and neither window could be secured open in the upright position. The room wasn’t especially clean. The pillow was very old and flat; when we asked, they brought two more, though one smelled of tobacco. There was a plug only on one side of the bed.

The place was clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, but the beds felt like concrete. Breakfast didn’t have a good selection, and the air conditioning wasn’t working.

The hotel was comfortable and the staff were pleasant. I was disappointed to find the restaurant closed on Saturday night, though. They should mention that when you book. There was a nice place to eat about a 15-20 minute walk away, but after a whole day of travel, I just wanted to go downstairs for dinner.

I woke up covered in bug bites, and the room seemed to be full of bedbugs. The hotel wouldn’t even acknowledge that it had them. There were also sections of ceiling missing in the hallway, and the whole place felt calamitous. I don’t recommend staying here. If you can avoid it, do.
