Hotel Palia Dolce Farniente

You're close enough to walk to the main town and the lovely Marina, with local shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The downside for me was the entertainment. Most guests seemed to be French, so the shows, contests and karaoke were almost entirely in French. I didn't feel at home and felt left out of the interaction. If you're bilingual, though, you may be able to get past that.

The animation team brought lots of energy and activities each day, and they were great with the kids and the whole group. The location was fantastic, only a short walk to the beach. Our room was very clean, the food was delicious, and room service was excellent. I had a great stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

The dining room was frustrating, because as soon as we stepped away to get more food, someone else took our table. The all-inclusive drinks selection was very poor, too. Our room and terrace were dirty, as were areas throughout the hotel, including the dishes. We saw a cockroach as soon as we entered the room, and ants were everywhere, even getting into the bed. Staff weren't friendly. We also felt clearly discriminated against: if you're not French, the entertainers and staff mostly ignore you and barely speak English. We're extremely disappointed and would never return. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was impressive, and the hotel workers and cleaners were excellent. Around 85% of the guests were French, though, and the entertainment team hardly spoke any English.
