The staff’s kindness is what I still remember most, along with the delicious breakfast. They were always happy to say hello, chat, or offer tips about Santiago. Hotel Costa Vella felt like home during my Camino in June 2025. My luggage was brought safely to the hotel and then up to my room. The room was beautiful and clean, with everything I needed, including a lovely shower, storage space, and a very comfortable bed. The location was ideal, close to the cathedral, shops, restaurants, and what a pilgrim might need, including the 1 euro bus to the airport.

After a tiring Camino walk, the team at Costa Vella made us feel especially welcome. Everyone provided such thoughtful service, and breakfast was wonderful, with jamon, cheese, and toast topped up whenever we asked. Our third-floor room was quaint and cosy. I’d give them 10 stars if I could, and would stay again if we do another Camino. Kudos to the team.

We were lucky to find a room for one night since it’s usually fully booked, and we loved the stay. Sandra was super helpful. We work at a 5 star hotel ourselves, so we appreciated the high standards here.
