Julian, the owner-manager, clearly cares about his guests. He went out of his way to make my stay worry-free, which I really appreciated after a gruelling Camino Primitivo. The breakfast was superb: café con leche or another drink, orange juice, homemade bread, Iberian ham, and eggs cooked how you like them. My room was small but very clean, and from the top floor I had a great cathedral view. It’s close to the park and away from the busy zone, which suited me, while still just a few minutes’ walk from the cathedral. A wonderful little pension, just as one should be.

What made the stay for me was the warm, personal care. The owner was welcoming, kind, and always ready to answer questions. He even helped arrange my trip back to Madrid, which I really appreciated. Staff took every request seriously and did what they could to make things comfortable. The location is excellent, close to the city center and especially convenient after finishing the Camino. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Santiago de Compostela, particularly pilgrims looking for a friendly, comfortable place after the walk.

I came down after 10 a.m. and breakfast was still all set out, with no end time. It was the best breakfast I had on my whole six-week trip: besides the usual toast, coffee, and little cakes, there was orange juice, eggs, and Spanish ham. The service was friendly and helpful, and the location was great, next to a park and only a short walk from the cathedral square. My room and bathroom weren’t especially large, but that didn’t bother me. Both the room and the cathedral view from the top floor were lovely, and everything was very clean. I absolutely recommend it, especially for the price.

In a historic building, this hotel serves an excellent breakfast, including delicious jamón and eggs cooked fresh to order.

Breakfast was fantastic. The toast was warm, and the coffee and omelet came in thoughtfully chosen tableware that made me feel very welcome. The jamón and honey had such rich flavors that I savored every bite. I also remember the host’s calm, gentle smile. From my room window, the view of Santiago Cathedral gave the place a timeless, classic feel.
