Hotel Gaio 7

The room had a second level, which was a first for me, and the city view on New Year’s Eve was perfect. The hotel felt new and modern. The bed was on the firm side but comfortable. What really stood out was the staff’s attention and how valued they made us feel. We arrived around 9 pm on New Year’s Eve, when most or maybe all restaurants were closed. We bought food at a 24-hour mercado at a gas station, and a staff member kindly heated it for us even though she was dealing with an emergency. In the morning the staff served us a great breakfast, and when we were rushing to leave for our scheduled ride, they gave us coffee and snacks to take along. Those little things meant a lot. Amazing service.

After the long hike, the cold plunge pool was amazing, and there was a great snack menu. One small quirk: my very tall husband didn’t fit in the top section of our room, so it’s worth checking the room specifications if you need more space. We were exhausted and a little injured after finishing the Camino, and manager Natalia took care of every need as if we were her own family. Five stars don’t feel like enough. Thank you so much!

I was only there for one night, but the care and attention stayed with me. Gaio7 Hotel made me feel at home from the start: the room was spotless and cozy, with a handwritten note, coffee, water, and a sweet treat waiting for me. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make the stay feel just right. I’ll absolutely return and highly recommend Gaio7 Hotel for a warm, comfortable, memorable visit.

The garden looked like a lovely city oasis, and I can imagine it being a highlight for relaxing after a day’s walk in summer. We visited in cold, rainy November, so didn’t get to enjoy it much. The cathedral view from our room was nice to take in from bed. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the main streets, bars, and restaurants. The hotel is brand new and exceptionally clean, with very pleasant staff. TV, air conditioning, shower, and bed were all excellent, and the minibar had a nice selection. You can hear footsteps from upstairs through the old wooden floors, so earplugs helped me sleep well on the second night. A fantastic, modern, comfortable stay.
