The room was quite small, but comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. The building is a bit unusual and the pension occupies two floors. The room felt a little old, though I loved the blinds, which blocked about 95% of the outside light, perfect for an afternoon nap. The woman at reception was friendly and helpful. You're right in the center, close to restaurants, shops, the main train station, and just minutes from the cathedral.

My window faced an interior airshaft, but the room still got plenty of natural light. There was some construction noise, though only during the day. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the place felt warm even in the wet, cold Galician winter. The location across from the Praza De Galicia is hard to beat, with many bus lines stopping there. It's on the edge of the old city and shopping district, a few minutes' walk from the cathedral and several full-service grocery stores. The rate was very reasonable for the location and quality. What more could a pilgrim ask for?

For a longer stay, I would have missed having a small fridge for my food. But as a cheap, no-nonsense stop for one night in Santiago, it had nearly everything I needed: clean, comfortable beds, hot water, bathroom essentials, and heating. The heating worked perfectly on a January night. I could hear noise from the lobby and other rooms during the day, but the night was silent, with everyone asleep. After a long walk, that daytime noise didn't bother me much.

The room was spotless and clean, and the fan kept me comfortable. It was a little noisy because the walls are thin, but the place is very central and easy to get to. At €55 in mid August, it was great for the price.
