The rooms were basic but comfortable, and the owner's helpfulness made the stay good. There were few guests when I visited, and the roadside hotel has no restaurant. Just off the Camino Ingles, the owner went out of their way to provide a very good, large pilgrims-style evening meal and a bottle of wine for a great price.

This old hotel is 12 km from Santiago, on a very noisy, busy road with nothing around it. You need a taxi to get into Santiago. My room was very old and dirty, with lots of mold, and the traffic made it noisy. The air conditioning didn't work, and the mold smell was terribly strong even in the breakfast room. Breakfast was awful: one very stale industrial croissant, two slices of stale industrial white bread, and awful coffee. It may have three stars on paper, but it felt like a barely one-star motel and was totally unsuitable accommodation.

We stayed here while walking the Camino. The room was dirty, and the air conditioning barely worked. Dinner cost 24 per person and was pretty bad; breakfast was just bread. Looking back, for that price we should have kept walking into Santiago.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, but the room we got was not at the back, away from the somewhat noisy main road, even though the hotel was empty. The rooms and bathroom were nice, with a bath. Dinner came in plentiful portions, with a choice of two starters and two mains. Breakfast included fresh orange juice, croissants, bread, cheese, ham, and lovely hot coffee, with more available if you asked.

The bed was damp, the shower was broken, and one room was only 11C. Everything felt dirty, damp, cold, and smelly. The breakfast was awful. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at.
