Bea at the front desk made a big difference to my stay. She was warm, professional, and caring, with helpful advice and recommendations that made me feel more like a guest at a friend’s home. Hotel Santa Clara has a quiet, historic feel across from a centuries-old convent, yet the cathedral and city center are a short stroll away. My room was modern, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. There’s no air conditioning, but the large windows kept it cool and airy even in summer. A peaceful, comfortable place to slow down, and I’d gladly return and recommend it to other pilgrims and travelers.

The room didn’t match the ad, the shower was broken and wouldn’t drain, and there was no air conditioning. The thing that looks like a pool is empty and only about 20 cm deep, so don’t expect to use it.

The room was small, though Santiago is busy and expensive. Breakfast was good, and the welcome and service were really friendly. It was a nice place to rest after the Camino. My only issue was the sink: the water drained so slowly that brushing my teeth or shaving left a mess.

The airport bus stop is the main draw for me, just a two-minute walk away, with a €1 fare per passenger all the way to Santiago airport. This is a self check-in hotel, but it wasn’t too complicated. A woman came in the next morning to serve breakfast, which was good and not too expensive. She was so kind and helpful. Thank you so much!

The girls at Santa Clara reception were amazing. They booked a car for us, put together our whole road trip itinerary, and shared great tips for Santiago sunset, drinks, and more. We had a really good experience and highly recommend it. The place was clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable. Great job, girls, and a big thank you!
