The hotel presents nicely and is generally pleasant, but I chose not to stay after seeing two rooms. The rooms were clean, though there were signs of bed bug activity. I couldn’t tell whether it was a past issue that had already been dealt with. With my sensitive skin, I wasn’t comfortable taking the chance. The bathrooms looked a bit dated and had some mold, though nothing alarming. Staff understood and refunded the other two nights I’d planned to stay, but not the night I checked in. They said they had two rooms they couldn’t sell that night. Make of that what you will. It was a wash of an experience. I’m sure the hotel has good moments and could suit the right traveler.

The room was roomy, the bed very comfortable, and everything was clean apart from mold in the bathtub. There was more than there should be. I know mold can be hard to avoid, but it’s easy to remove and really should be cleaned. The hotel is close to the camino and the cathedral. Check-in was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great with everything you need.

We liked being just beyond the tourist area, in a pleasant neighborhood with good restaurants and shops that didn’t feel touristy. Our triple room had a small balcony, and the double-paned windows kept noise down. There were plugs beside each bed, plus an elevator. The shower and tub had pretty good pressure. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the lobby had free tea, lemon water, and fruit.

The service was lovely and helpful, but the room was really warm and I couldn’t turn the heat off. I had to leave the window open, which let in the noise. There was also a gasoline smell in the lobby and hallways. They knew about it but didn’t know what it was, which I found odd. Breathing that in can’t be the healthiest thing.
