Pension Via-Stella

The WORST PLACE I have ever visited. Thank God we only tried the "restaurant". The plates were chipped, and we had to move the tables and chairs ourselves. A tiny bottle of water, just enough for one glass, cost €2.70 and wasn’t on the menu. The burgers were raw and very dry, and I nearly choked on one. The fries were soggy and stale, with a very strange yellow color. The ham and cheese "sandwich" looked nothing like the picture. The omelette was partly raw. Most of the small calamari were uncooked and smelled like rotten fish. My daughter vomited an hour later after eating a few. We shared the calamari rings, but none of us could tell what we were eating. The dishes came ten minutes apart, so everyone ate alone. The service was even worse. We returned most of the food untouched, and no one asked if anything was wrong. I guess that’s on purpose. The waitress wouldn’t even look at you. The whole experience really upset our trip to this beautiful town. Hopefully this review saves someone a day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

We were on the first floor, facing the sidewalk tables, and expected noise, but it wasn’t bad. On Tuesday night it was quiet after 11 pm. It’s a nice little place right on a small square just inside the oldest wall of medieval SDC, with a cafe downstairs where you check in. The cafe was pretty good too. Our room was large, clean, and full of natural light. The host was nice, and everything went smoothly. We’d definitely come back.

This is my second visit, and I love the place. It’s in a beautiful praza, with a superb location and welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. The cleanliness was brilliant. The food is great and the drinks are good too. I’d highly recommend it for a stay, food, or drinks.

A very nice pension right in the middle of the city, with friendly owners and comfortable beds. It had everything we needed, and we slept very well.
