Carlos made this a lovely place to unwind after the Camino. When I couldn’t track down a package I’d sent from Portugal to Santiago, he was genuinely kind and helped me sort it out. I ended up adding another night. The hotel itself was cozy and comfortable, and the restaurant he suggested was great too. I’d recommend staying here to relax after the walk.

We finished our Camino here. The room was spacious, and the hotel was clean, quiet, and easy to get to. Breakfast had lots of food and drink options in a roomy hall, and the service was excellent. It’s a fair walk from the town center, though, and getting up toward the train station with luggage was a bit of a struggle.

Easy to reach from the Portuguese Camino, and handy for the cathedral too. The front desk service was good. Rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was okay.

Hotel San Lorenzo is in a peaceful residential area, about 10-12 minutes from the center and the Cathedral, which suited us. We stayed three nights after finishing our caminho. The room was clean, with a large, well-kept bathroom. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one evening; it was okay. I’d recommend the hotel.

It was quiet and clean, but otherwise below what I’d expect from a 3 star hotel, especially for the price compared with nearby places. The staff seemed indifferent, and breakfast was poor: no hot food, and the plates weren’t replenished. We had an early flight one morning and they wouldn’t refund that breakfast, though they did offer a very basic takeaway instead. The hotel didn’t feel welcoming, and I wouldn’t stay again.
