I wouldn't recommend it. The walls were so thin I could hear the man next door breathing, and the street was especially noisy. Check-in was awful. Staff gave me no information, and there didn't seem to be hotel staff around. The waiters couldn't help either; they sent me to a phone number that never worked. After a long time, a customer at the bar helped me get the door unlocked. The worst experience of my Camino.

I was a solo pilgrim and got no attention at all. When I asked the waiter at the bar if I could order food, he ignored me. The place felt very unfriendly, so I paid for my drink and left. The free tortilla earns it an extra star.

The wait can be long, but the food makes it worthwhile. We were told to try the zamburiñas, and they were amazing. The patatas bravas were the best we've had in Spain. The waiters weren't especially friendly, though they were dealing with a packed restaurant for much of the day.

You get tortilla as a side with every drink, even water, so it's a good spot if you're in the mood for tortilla and a drink. Prices are neither cheap nor high, and the menu is made up of ordinary dishes you'd find elsewhere. The staff were nice and quick even with lots of customers. I didn't find the interior cosy, with its chunky tables and chairs, but there are outdoor tables where you can enjoy the weather.

The tortilla here might be the best we've ever had. We've eaten plenty of it, and this one just melts in your mouth. We got a free tapa of tortilla Española with every drink. A caña, about 250-300 ml of beer, cost €1. We got to Santiago on a Monday night and couldn't believe how packed Hospidaje Bar La Tita was, probably with students drawn by that free tapa. Almost nobody else seemed to be eating anything beyond the tortilla. We also had a salad and croquetas, which were nice but nothing special, plus some very good homemade desserts.
