Hostal Charo Ii

The room had lots of blankets, a clean bathroom, and a fresh renovation. After the Camino, it was a welcome bit of comfort. Staff were kind and welcoming, and checkout at 12 worked perfectly for us.

We stayed in room 101, which was spacious, modern, tidy, and clean. Although it faced the road, the double glazing kept it very quiet, and the blackout blinds did a great job of keeping out the early morning light. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the historic center, an easy and pleasant stroll for us. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. They sent us lots of good suggestions for activities and places to eat over WhatsApp, and were always available for questions. We could occasionally hear people in the neighboring room, though it didn’t happen often or affect our stay much. Highly recommend Hotel Charro II!

The caring staff did their best to help with whatever we needed. We had trouble arranging transport for our bags to the next Camino stop, and one great staff member stepped in to coordinate with the taxi driver outside his working hours. They also quickly helped us with laundry and answered all our questions about the different programs. The Hostal definitely deserves five stars. I’d recommend it.

The receptionists were exceptionally kind and made us feel very welcome. I stayed for seven nights and, when I asked, they brought me a kettle, plate, and fork. The hotel is on the first floor of a building, with 11 rooms along a narrow corridor. The room had all the basic things I needed, and it’s close to lots of restaurants and the university. The soundproofing isn’t great if you’re a light sleeper. I could hear people unplugging devices in neighboring rooms, showers from five rooms away, conversations in the corridor, and sometimes people outside late at night. It was reasonably quiet from about 00:15 to 7:00, but that wasn’t enough for me to get a good night’s sleep.
