Hotel Hórreo by Bossh! Hotels

The rooms were clean and the women at reception gave good service. I’m still sad and a little disappointed about what happened. I was guiding a group of 10, and this was my second time at the hotel. An older woman in my group left her glasses case at reception. When she tried to retrieve it, the alarm went off. There was a sign asking people not to go to reception, but she only speaks Russian and German, not English or Spanish. The next morning, the hotel owner kicked me out and said I could never come back. She screamed at us, and the woman in my group was really scared. I’m giving four stars only because of this situation.

The staff were next level friendly and helped me with advice, and they let me check in before the official time. The location is superb, near the historic centre and a brisk walk from the train station. It’s a simple, easygoing option in Santiago, especially for the price. My room was pretty small and rather dark, with its only window facing the inner shaft. There was no kettle, and the downstairs vending machine had no hot water, but for a 2-star hotel I guess that’s fine. The front door code changes sometime in the evening, so my card stopped working. Luckily, someone was waiting at reception with a new card. Glad I didn’t get back at 3 am!

The staff member who helped me with my car booking was so kind. She called the car company back and forth many times to help, and I really noticed and appreciated the effort. Our room was spacious and quiet, with soft, comfortable beds. Great value for money, and we’d stay again.

Everything was clean and I had what I needed. The front desk reception was VERY nice. It’s a 7-10 minute walk from the train and bus station, and the end of the street leads right to the station. Excellent, I’d stay again!
