Hotel Santiago Apostol

This was our second time staying here, and the staff were very helpful again. We liked the spacious rooms, fabulous breakfast, and relaxing bar and seating areas. It’s well connected to both the airport and Santiago city.

Good value for the price, with clean, nice rooms and perfect AC. The people at reception and the bar spoke English perfectly. It’s a little far from the city center, but a taxi takes about 10 minutes. I’d stay again and recommend it to friends.

This was a perfect halfway stop when we had to reroute our drive from Portugal to Bilbao up the west coast to avoid central Spain and the terrible wild fire. The woman at reception was very helpful and understanding, and got us through a stressful situation. Having a lovely dinner on the terrace was a bonus.

I’d expected less from the photos, so the hotel was a welcome surprise. It’s been nicely renovated and was quite decent. The city center is an hour away on foot, but close by taxi; reception said there’s also a direct bus. One easy improvement would be replacing the small shampoo bottles and plastic jam packets with a more sustainable option, as most of the ***** chains in Europe have done. That would be better for the environment and could cost the hotel less over time.
