La Casona Del Patio

We had excellent food and a pleasant stay in this beautiful natural setting. The hotel sits in a small, quiet village, so peace and quiet are guaranteed. It's about a 20-minute drive from all the important places to visit.

We were charged for water even though we'd booked half-board, and I hadn't ordered a main dish. That was the one negative point. Otherwise, it's a nice mountain hotel, quite close to the famous and beautiful site of Masca.

This is a lovely hotel with a distinctive feel, and the superior room with a terrace was lovely, clean and well kept. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and relaxing, with plenty of parking. The restaurant was closed during our visit. It's off the beaten track and great for hiking, but there's not much happening nearby. Definitely not the place for people after a beach resort.

The reception staff were helpful, and we'd stay at the hotel again because it's well located for walkers and cyclists. Our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was very good. Dinner in the restaurant was a real letdown, though, and reasonably expensive for food and service well below par. The chicken was very dry, the salad limp, and the potato chips stone cold. The waitress kept playing with her long hair, which didn't seem appropriate in a restaurant. We'd come back, but wouldn't eat the evening meal there. Shame!
