We left extremely disappointed. Our apartment had a wall outside one set of windows and a street with cars outside the other. There was no natural light, and the place felt dark, almost like a basement. The website promises spacious, bright apartments and shows terraces with sunsets over La Gomera. That gave us the impression our room would be light-filled, but it didn’t show the view from the category we were actually given. Instead, it featured sea views from other units, which felt misleading. When we brought this up, management brushed us off. They said that since we hadn’t booked through their own website, they could put us in any room, regardless of what had been shown when we booked. That was unprofessional and unacceptable. For the price, this hotel was a huge letdown. Stay away if you don’t want your holiday ruined.

The beds were VERY comfortable, and the kitchen had what we needed to cook. Our apartment was spread across two floors, with the bedroom, bathroom and one balcony downstairs, then the lounge, kitchen, dining area and another balcony upstairs. Both balconies got sun and felt private enough for sunbathing. The upper one had a partial sea view. There was air conditioning in the bedroom, a ceiling fan in the lounge, and separate towels for the pool. We spent four nights and didn’t have a room clean or towel change. I’m not sure how often that’s usually done, and I’d have expected at least twice a week, but it wasn’t a problem for our short stay. I’m sure we could have asked for fresh bath towels if we needed them. Breakfast was simple and nice, either a full English or continental with eggs, cold cheese and meat, fruit, toast, juice and hot drinks. Plenty to fill you up. We had dinner at the hotel once, and the food was fantastic. The heated pool and seating area were lovely, the library had books to borrow, and reception staff were helpful and friendly. The location worked well, with Lidl a two-minute walk away and the coastal path and a few restaurants five minutes in the other direction. Parking is the main headache after 5pm, though there’s a multi-storey car park about 100 metres away as a backup.

Lidl is a five-minute walk away and the pool is less than two minutes from the apartment. Mine was spotless, with two floors, two bathrooms and a balcony looking over the ocean and the north-facing cliffs of Gigantes. It was peaceful, very well equipped, and felt like having a private villa. I was surprised to get what was probably the best spot in the complex after booking at the last minute. This is one of the most beautiful locations in tenerife, and I had a fantastic short break, one of my best experiences there yet.

The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. They can arrange an airport ride or book a taxi for you, which costs a little less than arranging one yourself. There were plenty of towels in the room, room service, and free pool towels. The apartments are well equipped for cooking. My kettle didn’t work, but the washing machine, cooker and fridge freezer were all fine. Lidl is just up the road, with a nice local supermarket opposite. The area is quiet for bars and clubs, but it’s hilly, with some very steep stretches, so take care if you have mobility difficulties and like going out and about. Reception, the swimming pool and restaurant are across the road from the apartments, with a tunnel to walk through between them. If your room is at the back of the building, traffic, road sweepers, bin lorries and people talking can be loud from around 6:30 in the morning. You can hear it all, and there’s no sun at the rear. If you’re not an early riser, you may want to request a room at the front.

The heated seawater pool was a highlight, at 27 degrees, and street parking was easy in mid-December. There’s no private parking. The mini apartments have a kitchen and washing machine and are fully equipped. Sound insulation is only so-so because the sliding windows are pretty bad. The supermarket behind the apartments makes a lot of noise unloading goods between 9pm and 10pm, so go to Lidl instead, just 100 metres away. Wifi was poor and only worked sometimes inside the room.
